A BUSY car dealership is using a high-tech temporary building to help it get through one of its busiest periods of the year.
The main showroom at Stirling Audi is being redeveloped as part of plans for major expansion, so the company needed to act fast ahead of last month’s traditional spike in new car sales.
And innovative buildings specialist Spaciotempo came to the rescue by supplying and installing a temporary showroom in double-quick time.
The state-of-the-art facility, which houses a reception area along with sales offices, toilets and a canteen, was erected in just eight days – giving the dealership time to prepare for the month when new ‘65’ number plates became available.
It will remain on site for another five months while the company’s permanent showroom is redeveloped.
Relieved Stephen Marchetti, head of business at Stirling Audi, was delighted by how quickly Spaciotempo stepped in to save the day.
He said: ‘They reacted extremely quickly to our brief. The showroom was up and running just three weeks after my initial phone call and the installation itself took just eight days.
‘I believe projects like this usually take between six and eight weeks, but they turned the order around in half that time, which was phenomenal. It was a very smooth operation and extremely impressive.’
Mr Marchetti has also been hugely impressed by the quality of the bespoke 500 sq m facility, which is 20m wide, 25m long and 4.2m high.
He added: ‘Audi demand certain standards for their showrooms and this certainly fits the bill.
‘I expected we’d have to ‘‘make do’’ for a while until our new development is completed, but the temporary building is surprisingly substantial and the fixtures and fittings are superb. It’s like a home from home.’
