WESSEX Garages has raised more than £1,000 for charity, following its 24-hour bowl-a-thon in Bristol.
Based on Pennywell Road, the dealership organised the challenge in a bid to get as many people involved as possible and raise money for Penny Brohn Cancer Care.
While many teams took it in turns to join in and score a few strikes throughout the event, others watched as the Wessex Garages’, Penny Brohn staff and volunteers’ and the Hollywood Bowl teams went head-to-head in a full 24-hour 10-pin battle.
After 29 games and knocking over 37,038 pins, the contenders managed to raise more than £1,000 for the charity pot.
Adam Davis, digital sales executive at Wessex Garages on Pennywell Road, said: ‘The event was a great success. It was hard work ten-pin bowling for 24 hours but we made it.
‘We are still counting the money raised but we know we have collected more than £1,000 for the charity so far, which is fantastic.’
