Newcastle-headquartered Benfield is ranked at 83 and features on the table for the first time, increasing sales by 13 per cent to £700m for the year to December 31, 2014.
The league table ranks Britain’s leading private companies by sales in their latest available accounts.
The family-owned business is delighted with its leading position.

Benfield Motor Group is an independently owned family business founded in Newcastle in 1957 by John Squires snr and developed by John Squires jar, the present chairman.
The company has 30 retail outlets throughout the North East of England, Yorkshire, Cumbria and south-west Scotland across a portfolio of 12 car retail brands.
The Top Track 100 annual league table is sponsored by HSBC and Linklaters. It is compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events company.
