Car Dealer Power Awards are the ‘most valued’ says previous winner as entries flood in

Scooping a Car Dealer Power Award is ‘extremely powerful’ believes serial winner GForces as entries begin to flood in.

So far more than 250 nominations have been submitted for the best suppliers to do business with and car manufacturers to represent in just two days.

The Car Dealer Power survey was launched on Wednesday and is car dealers’ opportunity to have their say on who they love to do business with – and who they don’t.


Giles Smith, managing director of GForces, whose firm won two awards at last year’s Car Dealer Power, said: ‘Although we have won many awards over the years, the ones we value the most are the Car Dealer Power Awards. 

‘The reason is simple, the awards are voted for by the dealer community and not by a panel of people who have never used our software and services.’

Car Dealer Power Awards are the only ones in the industry voted for by dealers and last year GForces won the Website Provider for Franchised Dealers category and the Extra Mile Award.


The latter was handed over to GForces after respondents in the 2019 survey said they were impressed with the company’s technology and how it focuses on ‘getting the little things right’.

Smith added: ‘I believe an award of this nature is extremely powerful as it is a reflection of your business within your customer base. 

‘There is no better testimony than that of your customers – the ones that actually use your products and services on a daily basis.

‘A vote from a real customer is by far the biggest compliment.’

Voting opened on July 1 and closes at the end of August. The shortlist of contenders will be revealed on September 7.

Then, on September 30, Car Dealer Magazine will reveal the winners in a special video awards presentation and the gongs will be delivered to the winners.

That marketing is vital, believes GForces, who have picked up countless Car Dealer Power awards in the last decade.

Smith added: ‘We use the Car Dealer Power Awards on our website and in all our sales presentations. They resonate with dealers as they know that it is their votes that count.’

This is the first time the Car Dealer Power Awards are to be held digitally. 


Award winners and highly commended firms will have the opportunity to highlight their special achievements in a dedicated Car Dealer Power section on this popular website, instead of attending the awards presentation like previous years.

Access to the winners logos, a special winners video and promotional story featured in the Car Dealer Power Awards section will all be offered to the successful firms. Full details will be released to the shortlisted businesses nearer the time.
