A CARDIFF-based dealer has confirmed its commitment to customers by continuing its daily free bus service.
Sinclair Volkswagen launched its courtesy shuttle bus scheme two years ago and due to popularity and customer feedback has agreed to make it a permanent service.
Chris Lloyd, from Treorchy was employed as the shuttle bus driver and will remain in the role. The service is used daily to transport customers in and out of the city while their cars are being serviced or is in for an MOT.
Sinclair Volkswagen’s brand manager, Richard Seaward is delighted with its success.
Seaward said: ‘The shuttle bus service has gone from strength to strength with customers enjoying the convenience and comfort it offers.’
During its trial, Sinclair has called on the artistic talents of local school children for imaginative designs to brighten the plain exterior of the white bus.
‘We are always looking at ways to improve our customer service and recently launched an Express Service Drop-Off facility. This is aimed at customers who arrive out of our opening times.
‘Customers can simply drop their keys and details into a secure letterbox which is followed up by one of the service advisors,’ concluded Seaward.
The Sinclair courtesy shuttle bus service operates from the Tyndall Street Volkswagen retailer through to Cardiff Bay and the city centre, every hour from 8.15am through to 3.15pm. When the customer’s vehicle is ready for collection the shuttle bus collects the customer from their destination.
