Nissan_GT-R_SpecV_Nissan_7452A BRISTOL-based car dealer has raised £290 for a cancer care charity.

At the city’s annual International Balloon Fiesta, Nissan dealer Wessex Garages raised the sum for the Penny Brohn Cancer Care charity through a number of original attractions.

Members of the public had the chance to have their photos taken in Nissan’s GT-R supercar, while there was also the opportunity to book rides in the car at a later date for a donation of £5.

Sales executive, Mitch Boulton, who previously trained as a hairdresser before joining the dealership, was also on site to offer visitors a hair cut for a donation to the charity.

According to This is Bristol, general manager at Wessex Garages, Terry Thurgood, said: ‘We are delighted to have raised £290 for our chosen Charity of the Year – Penny Brohn Cancer Care in Pill. Thanks to everyone who helped us raise the money.

‘We took along a white GT-R to the event and offered people the chance to have their pictures taken inside the car for a donation.

‘We were able to take professional photos and people could also take their own.’
