MOTOR industry e-commerce specialist Epyx has appointed Aditya Varadpande as its new managing director.

He joined the company in 2015 as director of international business, growth and marketing following its 2013 acquisition by Fleetcor, which provides fuel cards and workforce payment products and services.

Previously, he has held a number of key positions in sales, marketing, and product management across Europe, while before joining Epyx he was commercial director and European marketing director for industrial and consumer products company Danaher.

Varadpande said: ‘Epyx and its 1link suite of products have evolved and become the heartbeat of large fleet operators and garage network operations.

‘The team at Epyx are incredibly proud of our products and have built an excellent reputation with the client base. The company has a proven track record of innovation and success and has grown significantly in the last few years.

‘We’ll be looking to build on the company’s achievements by continuing to work closely with our fleet clients, garage network and wider 1link community. 1link platform development will be at the top of our agenda, and we’ll be looking to innovate further with new technology and new thinking.

‘The people and resources that we have available to use, both within Epyx and the wider Fleetcor family, are outstanding and I am very excited about the future of Epyx.’

Alan King, president of Fleetcor UK and Australasia, to whom Varadpande will report, said: ‘I am delighted that Aditya has taken on the post of managing director. During his time at Epyx, he has led new growth initiatives and played a key role in the international expansion of the business.

‘With Aditya’s background and his time in the industry, I have no doubt he’ll be instrumental in driving the innovations needed to further develop Epyx and its products to meet the changing automotive and leasing industry.’
