FIVE cars were stolen from a Wirral car dealership after thieves raided the premises and stole the keys to the vehicle.

The crooks targeted the premises of Bromborough Road Car Sales earlier this week, apparently cutting through a padlock to the gates before gaining entry to the showroom.

According to the Liverpool Echo, they grabbed the keys to a grey Ford C-Max, a silver Ford Fiesta; a green Ford Focus; a silver Lexus is200 and a white VW Transporter campervan.

Detective Constable Jon Head told the paper that the owner of the business was devastated, adding: ‘It’s shameful that there are people who think it is acceptable to destroy other people’s hard work and enterprise for their own gain and we are determined to bring those responsible before the courts.’

The Lexus was later recovered, the newspaper reported. Brombrough Road Car Sales is situated between between Port Sunlight Village and Bromborough on the Wirral Peninsula and was established by Martin and David Sherlock in 1995.
