Honours for Ford

Time 1:36 pm, September 26, 2012

FORD have received a commendation from Motability Operations for its ‘performance and consistent excellence’.

As one of the largest suppliers to Motability, Ford models accounted for one in five of the cars delivered through the scheme – or around 48,000 vehicles in 2011 alone.

Petra Hynds, Ford’s Motability manager, was delighted by the award. ‘Last year was fantastic, with Ford handling more applications from Motability customers than any other manufacturer,’ she said.

‘We are very pleased to receive this commendation and we are looking forward to another excellent performance in 2012.’

The new Focus was a particularly high performer – over 13,000 of the models have been delivered by Motability since its launch, making it the most popular car chosen through through the scheme.

Ford suggest that the new B-Max, with its taller ride height and sliding rear doors, may well be the next best-seller through the scheme.

Chief Executive of Motability Operations, Mike Betts, said: ‘Ford has continued to support Motability with a superb range of affordable models and a dealer network that consistently delivers excellent customer service.

‘We look forward to another great year working in partnership with Ford’
