Harratts dealers expand

Time 9:14 am, November 7, 2012

HARRATTS Kia and Mitsubishi have expanded to new premises – creating 10 new jobs.

The family-operated dealer group, based in the north of England, have had to expand to keep up with a boost in sales – with demand from locals reportedly outstripping capacity.

Harratts Kia in Wakefield – opened in January this year – sold nearly double its targets, securing its position as the ‘second most successful Kia franchise’ in the UK.

Now moving to ‘state-of-the-art’ headquarters just down the road in Calder Park, the Kia dealer should enjoy a ‘significant’ increase in floor space – even looking for additional sales staff to cater for upped buyer appetite.

Meanwhile, Harratts Mitsubishi is also on the move – upping sticks to new premises near Barnsley. The new location – and its additional space – will help the dealer keep on top of demand as the firm’s models become ‘increasingly popular amongst local residents’.

‘We are delighted to announce that two of our dealerships are moving to larger premises,’ said Andrew Venn, Operations Manager for Harratts, ‘finishing the year with demand outstripping capacity at our dealerships, as both Kia and Mitsubishi continue to launch fantastic and very popular models into the UK market.

‘We are also thrilled to announce that these moves, combined with increased sales, means we’ll be looking to bolster our sales teams at both sites by up to ten new staff members, which is fantastic news for the local economy and local residents too.’
