The system – called ‘Simulcast’ – is Manheim’s online link to a physical auction, following feedback from buyers requesting even more information on each vehicle.

In addition to increasing the volume of vehicles available through Simulcast, trade buyers will now benefit from a vehicle grading system on dealer part exchange vehicles.

The new grading system will enable buyers to preview a vehicle’s condition through exterior and interior images before they buy.

Manheim Remarketing’s managing director, Mike Pilkington, said: ‘Buyers are already demonstrating greater confidence and an increasingly sophisticated usage of online auctions and at Manheim Remarketing we are leading the way in developing a suite of online products that reinforce that vital buyer trust.

‘Accurate vehicle descriptions are key and we want to ensure our buyers have all the information they need to make considered purchases.

With Simulcast more vehicles are offered compared with daytime and evening auctions, and buyers can purchase vehicles on Simulcast six days per week.
