Mazda offers unconventional test drives

Time 8:43 am, July 18, 2013

MazdaMAZDA is taking a different approach in giving customers test drives of its model range.

As part of its new Surprising Drives campaign, the firm is running a competition which includes eight instant weekly wins, giving motorists the opportunity to drive one of the brand’s latest models for an entire week, and a new online game where contestants can win three trips to top driver locations.

Winners will take the latest Mazda 6 to Los Angeles along the dry river bed, the CX-5 through Southern Norway around the Fjords, or the MX-5 on Italy’s famous Stelvio Pass, the second highest route through the Alps.

There will also be another 140 chances to win unconventional test drives in the UK in the all-new Mazda 6 and the signature MX-5 and these winners will sample Britain’s finest venues and attend track days at circuits including Croft, Donington and Silverstone.

Mazda UK senior marketing manager, James Crouch said: ‘These really are unconventional, fitting perfectly with Mazda’s idea of customers having fun and getting involved. These routes really capture the Mazda brand values of insightful, spirited and stylish – not being an onlooker.’

Crouch added: ‘Our cars really do over deliver on what drivers might expect and these track tests will allow them to start to feel the performance and really explore the car’s abilities.’
