Mercedes-Benz Harrogate celebrates £2m refurbishment

HARROGATE Mercedes-Benz celebrated the opening of its newly refurbished dealership last Thursday after six months of development.

The JCT600-owned dealership, which has been refurbished at a cost of £2m to match Mercedes’ latest boutique style, was opened to customers with a decadent event that featured live jazz music, drinks and even wood-fired pizzas.

The site now has space for 55 pre-owned vehicles, in addition to the eight-car main showroom, which will showcase new vehicles. A dedicated handover area and a standalone car valeting department have also been integrated into the dealership. Meanwhile, the expanded car park now has 118 spaces.

Jamie Taylor, head of business at Mercedes-Benz Harrogate, said: ‘With its prime location on the main gateway into Harrogate from Leeds, we wanted to create an eye-catching, stylish showroom set in landscaped grounds that does justice to Mercedes-Benz’s stunning range, while also enabling us to expand our facilities and make a visit an even better experience for our customers.

‘We are very proud of the results and wanted to celebrate with our customers by inviting them to join us for cocktails and snacks while browsing round some of the luxury items on offer from Yorkshire businesses, including some of the finest clothing and local food produce.’
