ONE OF Surrey’s most successful automotive dealer groups has reaffirmed its confidence in the Mitsubishi Motors franchise by opening a new dealership across the county border in Berkshire – its second new Mitsubishi showroom in the space of a year.
Family-owned Shelly Motors’ newly refurbished showroom in Reading Road, Winnersh, complements its Epsom Mitsubishi dealership, which opened last December, and strengthens the successful partnership between the automotive group and Mitsubishi Motors in the UK.
Shelly Motors has completely refurbished the former CCR Motor Company site’s six-car showroom at a cost of £65,000, while aftersales customers benefit from a cutting-edge nine-bay workshop, which includes a dedicated MOT test ramp. Outside, there is room for 35 Approved Used Mitsubishis.
The opening has created 10 new jobs across the business, from workshop technicians to sales executives and administration staff. Guiding the team are a trio of senior managers who are already familiar with the brand, including managing director Aaron Jameson, who said: ‘Adding a second Mitsubishi dealership to our group was an opportunity we were very keen to explore and this is the perfect location. The brand fits perfectly within our portfolio and allows us to offer our customers a wide range of vehicles, from compact hatchbacks and hybrids to SUVs to all-wheel-drive pick-ups.
‘Mitsubishi Motors has been great to work with and it’s a very exciting time for us and the brand with the impending launch of the Eclipse Cross SUV.
