THE new Honda Civic will begin an exclusive dealer tour around the UK tonight, allowing customers to preview the car.
The ninth-generation Civic customer preview events will run until December 15. The tour visits each of Honda’s UK showrooms for one night only on the journey.
Floods in Thailand are the reason for the tour, Car Dealer understands. Delivery dates have been impacted by the chaos, putting deliveries of the new car back by a month.
Customers attending the previews will be treated to a journey through the ages of Civic, learning about landmarks and milestones in Honda’s history. The previews will be accompanied by the music and news events from the 60s to the noughties.
Then they’ll be brought back up to date with the presentation of the new 2012 Civic by one of Honda’s product experts. The walk-round presentation will take place three times through the evening, with doors opening for three hours from 5pm.
Guests will also be able to enter a national competition to win the ‘Journey of their Dreams’, where the winner will have a bespoke holiday planned, designed and arranged specifically for them.
