The event marked the official opening of the dealership which sits alongside the existing Renault Leicester as a dual franchise in the city.

Guests welcomed with drinks and canapés on arrival together with a Nissan goody bag, where they were then able to view the Nissan range.

Customers could also take part in a treasure hunt which saw them answering ten questions with clues dotted around the showroom. Everyone who completed the treasure hunt received a prize with one entry also receiving a special prize of a weekend loan of a Nissan Qashqai. That lucky person turned out to be Dave Carter from Loughborough.

Among the guests attending the launch were the Davis family (pictured) who were so impressed with the Nissan Qashqai they decided to buy one, and Ivan and Susan Panczak who become the dealership’s first customers with the purchase of a new Nissan Micra.

Mark Whitaker, general manager at both Nissan and Renault Leicester, said: ‘The event was a great success and it was great to see so many customers at the dealership and of course to handover a new Nissan Qashqai.

Although we’ve not long launched, we’ve got plenty going on at the dealership along with some great introductory offers with great savings to be made on the range.’
