RAC Dealer Network passes 1,400-member milestone with three new signings

THE RAC Dealer Network has passed the 1,400-member mark with a trio of new signings.

Rainworth Garage of Mansfield, Voy Trade Centre of Oldham and YCP of Leeds and York have all joined the quality used car initiative.

Fortune 500 company Assurant, which operates in 21 countries and partners with the RAC in the warranty sector in the UK, aims to reach 1,550 members here in 2019, having started the year with 1,360.

Sean Kent

Sean Kent, RAC director of sales at Assurant, said: ‘It is very pleasing to pass the 1,400-dealer mark and we’d like to welcome all of these new members on board. Together, they show the diversity of dealers who are part of the network, from family-owned, trusted local businesses through to thriving specialists and franchise dealers.’

He added that warranty sales by volume in the first quarter of 2019 across the RAC Dealer Network had risen by nine per cent, which was impressive given uncertain market conditions.

‘We are very much on track to meet our dealer recruitment target for 2019 and interest is high from a wide range of dealers right across the country, all of whom recognise the benefits that we could bring to their business.

‘The proposition that the RAC Dealer Network represents has a long and proven track record of success for many different kinds of used car retailer, and an increasing number want to benefit from an established, customer-focused programme.

‘There remains substantial potential for network growth and we are keen to recruit dealers who share our passion for delivering a customer experience that reflects the high expectations associated with the RAC brand.’
