Screen Shot 2013-04-30 at 09.14.12ROLLS ROYCE is taking a different approach to displaying its new Wraith model for sale – placing the model in a window at the front of Harrods’ Knightbridge store.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith is a departure for the iconic British marque, being a sleek fastback coupe version of the more business-like Ghost.

Fitted with a 624bhp 6.6-litre V12 engine, it is the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever made. It was launched at the Geneva motor show in March.

The model on display is finished in deep Midnight Sapphire with the upper coachwork in Cassiopeia Silver.

The interior is trimmed in contrasting Arctic White and Navy Blue leather and features unique wooden panelling. Passengers will also be treated to the car’s starlight headliner, which bathes the interior in the glow of hundreds of individual ‘stars’ in the roof lining.

Describing the new model at its launch, Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said: ‘Wraith promises the sense of adventure and speed that drove our founding forefather. But of course, Wraith’s starting point is luxury, refinement and quality, traits that remain as important to Rolls-Royce customers today as they were more than a century ago.’

Harrods’ self-styled image as purveyors of the world’s finest product products means it is perhaps the ideal place to showcase what is one of the world’s most expensive luxury coupes.

Harrods Media Sales Director Guy Cheston, said: ‘Harrods is at the forefront of promotional opportunities for the world’s most esteemed automotive brands, and we are delighted to have on display the most anticipated car release of 2013.

‘The Rolls-Royce Wraith epitomises luxury, style and innovation, and is certain to attract attention from our international clientele.’
