VEHICLE retailers, workshops and bodyshops have turned out in their droves to enter their best customer video presentations for the CitNOW Video Awards 2017.
A number of leading dealer groups and independent outlets submitted entries with many achieving multiple nominations. Motorline Toyota entered the fray with two nominations in the Best CitNOW Workshop video category, while independents Nicholas Mee and Tustain will also be in the running for Workshop and Sales videos respectively.
JCT600’s Bradford and Sheffield outlets will battle it out for the Bodyshop crown alongside reigning 2016 champion Spraytech, while Mercedes-Benz proved consistently excellent with outlets in Epsom, Aberdeen and Grangemouth making the cut.
The judges were keen to see creative flair in customer video presentations, and luxury marque Bentley makes its first appearance as Bentley Hertfordshire impressed with its entry to the category.
The growing force of video globally is also reflected in the overseas category, with six shortlisted entries for 2017 from OEM franchises and independents alike.
More than 800 personalised video presentations were submitted to be entered into the awards as the automotive industry continues to adopt CitNOW’s app-based video technology on a global scale.
The judges were looking for visual and sound quality, attention to detail and clarity in accordance with CitNOW’s best-practice standards. The panel of automotive experts included CitNOW founder Andrew Howells and they selected winners in seven categories:
– Best CitNOW Workshop Video
– Best CitNOW Sales Video
– Best CitNOW Bodyshop Video
– Best CitNOW Web Video
– Best Overseas CitNOW Video
– Most Creative Use Of CitNOW Video
– Best Overall CitNOW Video
Howells said: ‘It is hugely rewarding to see the creative, detailed and considered customer videos that have been entered this year – in record numbers.
‘The commitment demonstrated to not only embracing video technology but striving to use it in an expert way to build trust and transparency is exemplary. Without doubt, this talent and ambition will put the automotive industry in good stead in the exciting years ahead.’
