STEVE Prew has been appointed by SsangYong Motor UK to lead the brand’s dealer recruitment programme.

With a wealth of sales, market development and service delivery experience, Prew joins SsangYong after six years with Fiat Professional in national and regional sales management, and a career spanning senior positions at Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen dealerships, as well as being head of activities at Silverstone Circuits.  He is a Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry.

Paul Williams, CEO of SsangYong Motor UK, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Steve to SsangYong as our new dealer recruitment manager.

‘With our sales in double-digit growth, Tivoli achieving great media coverage, new models in the pipeline, and strong consumer interest in both SUVs and value brands, this is a golden moment to secure the franchise.

‘Having established firm foundations to take the business forward, we are looking to grow the number of SsangYong dealers right across the UK, and improve the network’s professionalism.’

SsangYong is actively looking for the right quality of dealers with an entrepreneurial ‘can do’ attitude to represent the brand in a number of locations, and current open points include Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Hull, Inverness, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Reading and Swansea.
