FAMILY-owned and run motor retail group, Swansway, is planning its Santa Patrol again.
The group, which owns and operates centres across the North West and Midlands, is repeating its Santa Patrol Christmas present giveaway which was so well received last year.
Swansway Group director, David Smyth, explained: ‘Last year was our first Swansway Santa patrol.
‘We gave £10,000 of Christmas presents to disadvantaged children in the areas where we operate and as a dad myself, I have to confess it was something of an eye-opener.
‘There are a lot of kids out there for whom Christmas isn’t the magical time it should be; sadly more than any of us would imagine.
‘As a family business, if we can help make Christmas a little more special for these children, then we will. The Swansway Santa patrol is our way of giving something back to the local communities where we trade.
‘Smyths Toys, no relation, are supporting us again this year, by adding 10 per cent extra to our £10,000 budget, for which we thank Mark Stead at the Stoke-on-Trent branch.’
