SKODA has launched a new multi-million pound national marketing campaign to support its new Citigo model. Along with a TV and print campaign, the Czech brand is giving away prizes on its Facebook page. Read more

ALFA ROMEO is to offer prospective buyers of the Giulietta an additional £500 over and above the CAP or Glass’s Guide trade-in valuation on their old car this month.

BENTLEY Motors has announced the appointment of Dr Wolfgang Schreiber (54) as its new chairman and chief executive. He joins from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Read more

INFINITI reveals Johan de Nysschen has been appointed as senior vice president of Nissan Motor Company in charge of the Infiniti division.

Thursday, June 7

AUDI has opened the order books for its all-new three-door A3 model. It’s priced from £19,205 to £26,560, with first deliveries in September.

EXPERIAN has published its latest Used Car Index revealing quarter one 2012 experienced the highest first quarter figures for three years. Read more

IF Mercedes’ SLS wasn’t fast enough, customers can now order the SLS AMG GT. Power is up to 590bhp and the car has AMG ride control. It arrives in October but pricing is yet to be confirmed.

BRISTOL Street Motors in Chingford has opened its doors to its newly-built Vauxhall Brand Centre. The two-storey state-of-the-art building cost £5m. Read more

VAUXHALL’S new SUV, the Mokka, will arrive in showrooms this November costing from £16,995. It’ll rival the Nissan Juke and Skoda Yeti.

NEW car registrations rose 7.9 per cent in May to  162,288 units, the latest figures from the SMMT reveal. May was the largest percentage rise for 23 months. Read more

USED LCV values improved across the board for the second month running in May, rising by £99 (2.3 per cent) compared to April to reach £4,370, says BCA.

THE average price of a used car in the UK has fallen again to its lowest price since July 2011, says www.UsedCarExpert.co.uk – and the cheapest place to buy is the south west. Read more
