Trade to Trade Underwriting might not have been around that long but it has certainly made an impression.
What started as a Facebook group and grew into a fully fledged trade to trade app that lets dealers buy and sell stock won incredible praise in our Car Dealer Power Awards survey.
This year more than ever, finding the right used car stock has been a huge challenge for car dealers up and down the country.
As used car buyers have flocked to the market, at the same time as supply has dried up, finding the right used cars has been harder than ever and solutions like Trade to Trade’s app have been invaluable.
Founders James Vaughan and Ben Mitchell joined Car Dealer founder James Baggott to chat about the incredible win in the video you can watch at the top of this post.
Mitchell said: ‘We’re absolutely delighted. Thank you ever so much to everyone who voted for us it means a lot.’
Vaughan joked: ‘It’s great you named the award after us as well – that’s fantastic!’
The Facebook page was launched in 2018 and that developed into a community that spawned the app and the duo are now reinvesting in the business.
Vaughan: ‘We’ve lived and breathed this company for the last two and half years. It’s like one of our children. It is so important to us. It’s part of our lives.’
Mitchell added: ‘The community has grown with us and the people look after themselves and treat the product right. When we launched the app we wanted it to evolve but we never wanted to forget about the community we had built. We protect them like our friends.’
