Loyal Volvo customers collect car number eight during ‘16 plate change

Time 9:49 am, March 14, 2016

A LOYAL customer has taken delivery of a brand new V60, which becomes the eighth Volvo he’s owned in nearly 30 years.

John Dommett and his wife Jane collected their Power Blue V60 SE T3 from the Volvo Cars  Central London dealership, located on Finchley Road, which is the latest addition to a long line-up of models from the Swedish carmaker in their history of car buying.

Having been hooked to the brand since their original purchase in the 1980s, The Dommett’s family of Volvo cars included an 850 and four V70s, which were later followed by a V40 R-Design. So, even though this is car number eight, it’s still as special as the first – a three-door 360 GLS.

Since Dommett and his wife favour striking colours, they opted for Power Blue Metallic paint, with John even managing to find matching trousers for the handover event.

Ken Frankis, new business specialist for Volvo Cars Central London, who handed over the keys, said: ‘The V60’s versatility as an estate car mixed with the advanced handling of a sports car made this model the perfect choice for John and Jane.

‘Choosing a petrol engine this time, the latest car to be added to their extensive and varied Volvo collection offered the right amount of space, perfect for trips to their country cottage. I know they will be suitably impressed with the handling, performance and comfort of the V60.’

He added: ‘On behalf of everyone at Volvo Cars London, we wish John and Jane all the best with their new car and we look forward to welcoming them back when they choose car number nine.’
