Autoweb Design was highly commended as Website Provider of the Year for Franchised Dealers – adding to its long run of triumphs in this category.
Head of digital marketing David Levett joked that it was great from an ego perspective, but added: ‘It’s nice that from a client perspective we were nominated in the first place.
‘It’s nice to get recognition and to know we’re doing the right thing in terms of what our clients say rather than what we say.’
The company was also highly commended in the category for Website Provider of the Year for Independent Dealers, and head of account management Jonathan Hutchins said that although the different sectors had their different challenges, each account had its dedicated manager keeping in regular contact with the client to meet its specific needs.
‘We view the clients as business partners and work alongside them to meet the challenges that we come across,’ he added.
He’s particularly proud of the e-commerce product that Autoweb Design has created, which he said was industry-leading, with free upgrades, no set-up fees and no management fees either at a time when a lot of firms were charging for it.
Levett highlighted Autoweb Design’s level of integrity, too.
‘We will do what we say we are going to do,’ he said. ‘If we can’t do it, we will let you know.
‘What we won’t do is lull people into thinking that everything and anything is possible, because that’s never the case.’
As regards the immediate future, he said Autoweb Design was focusing on getting through the crisis together with everyone else.
However, as far as the long term is concerned, it’s constantly evolving the technologies it uses to help it stay one step ahead of its competitors.
‘Providing our clients with a technology to allow them to win is the main crux of it, but we also have to work internally – we have to work smarter, not harder,’ said Levett, adding that it had a class-leading product up its sleeves that would be a win-win for Autoweb as well as its clients.
