Seat launches online tyre ordering service

Time 8:10 am, August 28, 2013

0bc8a679-99c8-4561-955d-2b2e1a38d9bbSPANISH car brand Seat has launched a tyre ordering service on its website.

The service, available through seat.co.uk, uses a database that covers all makes and sizes of tyre. It scores more than 3,000 of them on a monthly basis, rating them for price, fuel economy, wet grip, stopping distance and noise.

Using this information, the tool recommends a selection of suitable tyres for any customer that inputs their car details into the system.

An all-inclusive cost of each set of tyres is shown – it includes fitting, valves, balancing and disposal of old tyres. The new rubber is then fitted at one of Seat’s dealers.

John Deed, service & parts programme manager for Seat UK, said: ‘We’re really proud of the online tyre service, which we worked hard to make as simple and convenient as possible – much the same as our It’s Fixed! servicing programme.

‘With online tyres, we’re giving all Seat drivers the right tyre, at the right price, right now. Once again Seat has proved that main dealer service and mainstream brand quality needn’t cost a fortune; it is programmes like the online tyre service that make owning a Seat such a joy.’

Online tyre ordering follows the hugely successful launch of Seat’s It’s Fixed! servicing scheme – which has now passed the 33,000 customer mark.
