CCTV footage was provided by the dealership which shows an unknown figure pouring liquid over the cars before setting them alight.

CG Motorland has described the incident as a ‘devastating loss’ but pledged to come back stronger.

The business’s owner, who has not been named, told the Leicester Mercury: ‘It is difficult to put into words the disappointment and hurt we feel.

‘We pour our hearts into these cars, viewing them as works of art, only for someone to take that away in a matter of moments.’

Posting on social media, the firm added: ‘To our business associates and loyal clients: thank you for standing by us.

‘We are currently working with authorities and appreciate your patience as we process this senseless act.’

Leicestershire Police is currently investigating the incident but no arrests have been made at this stage.

Anyone with any information which could help officers with the enquiries should contact Leicestershire Police, quoting incident 636 of January 18.
