Trusted Dealers launches new car offering with real dealer valuations for part-exchange

USED car website Trusted Dealers has launched new car offerings with a unique part-exchange model.

Research conducted by the company indicates that 65 per cent of new car buyers value websites that offer new cars and part-exchange options.

As a result, Trusted Dealers has come up with its own system called Appraise My Car, which provides a figure for their car that is based on real dealer valuations as opposed to industry data.

Customers seeking a part-exchange can upload various details about their car, such as images, descriptions and the model they want to purchase. A valuation report is produced from the information and forwarded to dealers, who will then be able to make an offer based on the report.

Trusted Dealers’ research, which took the form of a survey of more than 1,000 new car buyers, indicated that around half of customers would rather part-exchange via a dealer. The largest frustration motorists had when part-exchanging vehicles was not knowing if they were getting a good deal.

With its new car offerings, Trusted Dealers now provides a complete service for consumers buying vehicles online, while also guaranteeing the safety of purchasing from a franchised dealer.

Neil Addley, managing director of Trusted Dealers, said: ‘Following our success with used cars, it made sense to break into the new car market too, with an innovative service that keeps costs down for dealers in order for them to pass these savings onto consumers, who also get a hassle-free part-exchange experience.

‘Our new car offering will strengthen our promise of being the safest place to buy a car online for customers. It will also help deliver high quality leads and increased sales for dealers and will improve profitability, making it the perfect solution for both our dealer members and customers looking for a good deal when buying online.’
