VOTING for the Car of the Year 2009 is underway.
The dealers which can possibly look forward to an uplift in interest, courtesy of a flurry of promotional activity? Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Ford, Renault, Skoda, Vauxhall and Volkswagen.
That’s because the shortlist has been announced, and includes the following cars:
Alfa Romeo MiTo
Citroen C5
Ford Fiesta
Vauxhall Insignia
Renault Megane
Skoda Superb
Volkswagen Golf
The result will be announced on 17 November at The Royal Horticultural Halls in London.
Elected by 59 expert motoring journalists representing 23 European countries, the contest is regarded as the most prestigious of the many ‘best car’ awards. It is in its 46th year.
