CitNOW supports Drivers of Change initiative

Time 9:10 am, December 10, 2019

CitNOW is sponsoring Drivers of Change, a new initiative for the automotive sector, as video continues to positively impact the industry.

Hosted by Autocar in partnership with Ennis & Co, the CitNOW-sponsored initiative aims to highlight the exciting opportunities open to emerging talent looking to start a career in the automotive industry.

Entrants are invited to suggest ways to improve the industry through innovation in three key areas: technology, digital and retail.

As the originators of personalised video, the initiative aligns with CitNOW’s own commitment to support the digital evolution of the automotive industry.

In just 10 years, the personalised video platform has become a central element of the customer journey and retail experience, and is now even used as part of apprenticeship programmes across the UK.

The Drivers of Change initiative is open to any applicants over the age of 18 – whether they are working within the automotive industry or not – regardless of experience.

The winners will receive £5,000 and the opportunity to attend the Society for Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) dinner.

CitNOW Head of Academy, Amir Rizvi, said: ‘CitNOW was founded to change the automotive industry for the better. In such an exciting period, the industry needs to keep evolving by championing new talent and ideas, and that’s why we’re supporting Drivers of Change.

‘CitNOW was a disruptor to the automotive industry only a decade ago and has gone on to become an integral part of the car-buying journey and retail environment – as well as helping train the professionals of the future – and we want to continue encouraging real innovation in the car industry.’

Autocar’s editorial director Jim Holder said: ‘Video technology is just one of the innovative features that has changed the automotive market in recent years.

‘It’s given new car buyers the chance to view vehicles they’re interested from the comfort of their home and get a first-hand view on the work technicians have completed on their vehicle.

‘Through the Drivers of Change initiative, we are hoping to help encourage the next wave of game-changing innovations to the car industry.’

Lynda Ennis, Founder of Ennis & Co, said: ‘Having CitNOW on board this new initiative creates such an exciting element for the competition.

‘By championing innovation and change, the digital aspect of the industry is only going to grow stronger; and this is where we hope to see the emergence of new talent to tackle the challenges that come with industry evolution.’

Entries for the Drivers of Change award are now open. More information on how to enter can be found here.
