KIA spends £1m on redeveloping a multi-storey car park in Edgware Road in north London, for a brand-new showroom. Read more

SUZUKI announces a ‘Minor Change model’ of the Alto. The range now boasts a 99 g/km of CO2 version and kicks off at £6,995.


MERCEDES-BENZ has revealed its Citan urban van. It’s a thorough re-working of the Renault Kangoo, and features the latest Mercedes green technology.

DEALER part exchange vehicle values increased by 4.6 per cent (£109 to £2,457) in March, says Manheim. Read more

PORSCHE’S new Cayenne GTS will make its debut at the Beijing Motor Show next week. The 419bhp car will go on sale in the UK in July, priced from £67,147.


KIA has announced the appointment of Lawrence Hamilton to the role of marketing director with immediate effect.

DACIA has confirmed customers will be able to pre-order their Duster SUV online with as little as £100 deposit. Read more

TO celebrate the delivery of the first customer cars, Mini is occupying one of Harrod’s windows with a Mini Inspired by Goodwood. The £41,005 car features Roll-Royce fixtures and fittings.

FORD has released the first official pictures of its new Transit Custom. It’s the first model of Ford’s plan to refresh its LCV range by 2014.

MARCH saw average values of used cars sold at auction across the board decrease three per cent, the latest NAMA report shows. Read more

HYUNDAI registered a record number of new cars in Europe between January and March 2012 – resulting in a European market share high for the first quarter of 3.3 per cent.

NEW cars registered in the UK last year were 18 per cent more fuel efficient than the average car on the road, says the SMMT. Read more

CAR DEALER can reveal Auto Trader has launched a rival to WeBuyAnyCar.com – and dealers look set to benefit! Read more

AUDI will reveal its 358bhp Audi RS Q3 concept at Beijing next week. The concept sits around 25mm lower, and can reach 165mph.


MERCEDES will also reveal a concept at Beijing. Called the Style Coupe, it’s a four-door coupe concept which features 210bhp and all-wheel-drive.

PEUGEOT has announced that its new 208 range will start at £9,995 for the three-door VTi 68bhp Access model. Read more

CHEVROLET UK boss Mark Terry says his Volt E-REV will never be sold alongside its sister car – the Vauxhall Ampera. Read more

AUDI has bough Ducati. It now means the German firm can take the fight to BMW in the motorbike sector, and continues Audi’s recent strong growth.

TO mark BMW M’s 40th anniversary, a special M3 coupe has been made. Called the ‘Frozen Edition’, only 100 are coming to the UK and it’s priced at £58,720.

DEALER group JCT600 has re-opened its Brooklands Ferrari showroom in Leeds. The facility now sports the Italian marque’s latest corporate identity, and Atelier.
