LAMBORGHINI’S Gallardo replacement, the Huracan, is expected to command a premium as high as £30,000 as soon as it arrives in UK showrooms.
Magnitude Finance, which specialises in arranging bespoke funding for supercars and luxury vehicles such as those wearing the Lamborghini badge, has already arranged funding for two clients.
Discussions reveal they intend to sell the £186,000, LP610-4 Huracan as soon as they’re handed the keys.
Director of Magnitude Finance, Tim Marlow, said: ‘Two of our clients were among those invited to private VIP viewings held before the car was officially unveiled in Geneva and they instantly contacted me to create finance packages.
‘They are expecting to sell immediately and believe they will get in the region of £20,000 – £30,000 over the list price depending on when the car arrives.
‘One has already agreed a £27,000 premium to sell to a speculator and won’t even drive it before selling it on.
‘Most Lamborghini dealerships are getting four cars in 2014 however London will probably get more.
‘The Huracan will be delivered in lists and it is those who receive cars in list one – expected to arrive in late August or early September – that will command the premium price.
‘After the late summer delivery, a car a month will arrive thereafter until the turn of the year.
‘Typically, our high net worth clientele have secured their cars to be in list one hence their confidence they will be able to make an instant profit.
‘It is worth remembering they have yet to even drive the car so they’re buying it based on a viewing and reputation.
‘This type of client has a collection of supercars and use our flexible finance packages to get into the latest model as and when required.
‘Unless it is a firm favourite, other clients who we are also talking to about funding a Huracán but don’t have plans to sell immediately, will also change it, probably after a year or so.’
