ONLINE vehicle auction company CD Auction Group Ltd has been bought by Arctos Holdings Ltd.

The deal, for an undisclosed sum, follows Arctos’s recent £16m investment in its new 40,000 sq ft facility on Thurleigh Airfield Business Park in Bedfordshire.

The Arctos group, which also owns SMH Fleet Solutions and Hudson Kapel, is one of the UK’s largest providers of high-quality services for vehicle manufacturers, franchise vehicle dealerships, leasing and rental companies, and vehicle fleet providers.

Corby-based CD Auction Group has been involved in vehicle remarketing for more than 25 years, and Arctos Holdings says that its acquisition means it can now offer services from vehicle management, logistics, refurbishment and storage to licence-checking and securities.

Martin McAuley, pictured, the managing director of Arctos Holdings Ltd, said: ‘We are building a unique portfolio of high-quality services so we can continue to offer significant value to our existing customers as well as attracting new clients. The acquisition of CD Auction Ltd will add yet more value to our customers, as well as providing an enhanced platform for service development and growth.’
