CDX16 keynote speakers available to watch in our Live Stage video playlist

Time 10:24 am, June 3, 2016

WITH so much going on at CDX16 you may not have been able to catch all of the fantastic interviews and panels taking place on the Car Dealer Live Stage. Fortunately, we recorded them all so you can catch up with the important points from our keynote speakers.

First up, Baize CEO James Baggott was joined on stage by Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders chief executive Mike Hawes. He shared his views on the state of the industry, referring to it as ‘reasonably stable’, but warned that the current Brexit debate was putting it at risk.

Trade Plates TV presenter Rebecca Chaplin then discussed how to make the most from your website and Google presence with Google’s own industry lead generation manager, Scott Sinclair. Later in the day, our hosts were joined by Twitter’s Lucy McHenry and Facebook’s Brad Little, completing the social media trio, who also shared some fascinating insights into selling products using their platforms and how to make the most of the services.

Jim Holder, editorial director at Haymarket Automotive, took to the stage to discuss What Car? Magazine’s latest offering. Find out all about it in the video below.

This year, Car Dealer held three industry panels, made up of independent dealers, franchised dealers and automotive manufacturers. You can see these in full in the playlist below, where staffing, car sales targets, the future for dealerships and whether Britain should stay in Europe are all discussed.

The last feature of the day was the Brexit debate, which saw representatives from both sides and industry experts share their views in what turned out to be an extremely lively discussion.
