DAKSH Gupta, CEO of Marshall Motor Holdings, is embarking on a 10,000ft skydive in aid of automotive charity BEN tomorrow.
Gupta is the first person to participate in BEN’s Industry Leader Challenge in which, each year, a key figure from the UK automotive industry will take on a personal fund-raising challenge to help raise money for the organisation.
Once completed, he or she will pass the ‘baton’ on to a new leader whose aim will be to raise more money than the previous challenger.
The inspiration for the event came from former Marshall director Sarah Sillars, who took on her own personal challenge for BEN, successfully climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2010 and raising an incredible £38,000.

Gupta is one of the most respected names in the automotive industry, having been instrumental in transforming Marshall Motor Holdings from a £300m business into the UK’s seventh largest dealer group with a turnover of £2.3bn.
He is also the vice president of BEN, which provides extensive help to current and ex-automotive employees and their families facing a wide range of issues.
Gupta’s skydive will take place at 1pm at the Hinton Skydive Centre in Brackley, Northants.
