THE development of BCA’s new 20-acre multi-million-pound remarketing and logistics facility at Perry Barr, Birmingham, is nearing completion with the first sales due to take place in October.

With the grand opening event taking place on October 13 featuring stock from BMW Group and Alphabet, further sales have been announced – including an Audi Select Sale on October 19 and a VWFS Signature Sale on October 21.

The new purpose-built site enables BCA to extend its physical and digital remarketing offering, delivering a range of de-fleet, inspection, preparation, refurbishment, appraisal post-valet and logistics services.

Remarketing facilities will include three auction lanes plus a state-of-the-art digital auction suite. There is undercover viewing for 450 vehicles, and commitment from a wide range of vendors including fleet operators, finance companies, leasing and contract hire, dealer groups and manufacturers to support the programme of sales.

There is ample customer parking for more than 400 vehicles, a restaurant and business suites, and a full range of buyer services.

BCA has also announced the management team responsible for driving the sales programme at Perry Barr.

Dominic Burr is the general manager, supported by Tina Harper, sales manager; Riarna Sharma, business administration manager; Tom Mannion, operations manager; Emma Webb, transport manager; and Louise Jacobs, yard manager.

Around 200 jobs will be created at the centre, ranging from technical, operational and administrative roles, to inspectors and vehicle preparation staff.

Suart Pearson, managing director for UK remarketing at BCA, said: ‘BCA Birmingham – Perry Barr represents the current gold standard in remarketing centre design, utilising the latest technology to deliver a first-class physical and digital sales programme, fully supported by our logistics and technical services capability that will ensure we meet the needs of all our customers.’
