DRAGON2000 has launched a new lead integration with Auto Trader and its DragonDMS, in response to the GDPR legislation that comes into effect today.
Auto Trader will no longer be sending their customers’ personal information via email to dealers awaiting new prospect leads.
While this information will still be available through the Dealer Portal, those vital prospect email addresses and phone numbers will now be appearing directly within the DragonDMS, thanks to the new integration with Auto Trader.
Auto Trader leads will appear automatically in the CRM section of DragonDMS, with the prospect’s enquiry date, name, contact information, a link to the vehicle they’re interested in and any part-exchange details.
Similar to website enquiries within the DMS, dealers can also run HPI checks and CAP valuations against the part exchange vehicle before converting into a full enquiry.
Mark Kelland, commercial manager of Dragon2000, pictured, said: ‘This change in the way personal information is handled comes with its own benefits and arguably makes life easier for DragonDMS customers, who previously relied on Auto Trader to provide the details of prospect leads by email.
‘Dealers can now monitor their sales conversions from Auto Trader more accurately, minimising the chance of a sales executive failing to chase up a lead.
Calendar events
‘They can convert Auto Trader leads into a full enquiry within the DragonDMS, allowing the prospect’s details to populate a new enquiry record, so that the sales team can start the sales process – recording follow-ups, creating calendar events and sending sales videos.
‘This integration will undoubtedly save dealers a lot of valuable time as they will no longer have to copy details across from emails or the Dealer Portal.
‘In addition to feeding dealers’ adverts to Auto Trader, which we have done for many years, the DragonDMS now takes care of the full end-to-end process by receiving incoming leads that the advertising generates, so dealers can progress enquiries through to sale. It couldn’t be simpler.’
DragonDMS is a complete Dealer Management System, providing software for car sales, workshop, parts inventory and accounting, which includes an integrated appraisal, VHC and sales video app, APPraise.
DragonDMS is integrated with Sage50, enabling dealers to easily produce accounting reports. Dragon2000 also offers individually-built websites, which fully integrate with the DragonDMS.
