DS AUTOMOBILES has announced that it is appointing Alain Descat as its UK managing director.
Descat, pictured, who is currently the DS brand development director for Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, will start his new job at the marque’s UK headquarters at Pinley House, Coventry on April 3, 2018.
The Bordelais Frenchman graduated at ESSEC business school and has worked for PSA since 2001. He has had a variety of sales and marketing roles within the group, including working with Peugeot importers in Mexico, Central America, Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
Descat was also involved in developing PSA’s digital processes. He created a ‘digital factory’ in the Benelux countries in order to aid the emergence of a dedicated DS network.
The appointment of Descat as UK managing director comes as the firm prepares to launch the new DS 7 Crossback – a premium SUV that marks the beginning of a new line of vehicles for the brand.
