Time 7:37 am, August 6, 2012

LUXURY department store Harrods has teamed up Hyundai and Kotra to a showcase of innovative Korean technology.

The store invited the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra) to provide a number of technology companies to form the: ‘Korea Loves London – Innovation and Technology 2012’ exhibition.

Among others pieces of technology, the window display includes the Hyundai Veloster, robots, interactive screens and automated home appliances. The result is an impactful and engaging display for the 1.2m store visitors and nine million Brompton Road pedestrians and traffic.

Kotra’s goal is to establish Korean companies in the UK, and views Harrods as the lynchpin to European success. As the world’s fifth largest and fastest growing automotive manufacturer, Hyundai is one of the main sponsors of the promotion.

Hyundai says its Veloster is the perfect showcase of innovation and technology.

Hyundai’s president and CEO, Tony Whitehorn said: ‘We are very proud to be part of the ‘Korea Loves London – Innovation and Technology 2012’ activity in such an iconic location. Like everything in Harrods, the Veloster has been designed to be stylish, great value and of the highest quality.’
