EVANS Halshaw has opened its first Honda dealership. The site, in Bedford, which previously traded as Stratstone, is located in Ampthill Road.

Evans Halshaw retained all the members of staff from the original dealership and continues to service customers with the latest Honda offering. The premises can accommodate up to 66 new and used vehicles in the showroom and on the forecourt.

Ken Joines, dealer principal at Evans Halshaw Honda Bedford, said: ‘The Honda brand is a great addition to the Evans Halshaw group and the team are really excited to welcome customers to the dealership.

‘Over the months ahead we’ll be hosting a range of events to get to know the community and showcase our great range and offers. To kick off we’re got the eagerly anticipated launch of the stunning brand new hot hatch Civic Type R.’

The addition of the Honda brand to the Evans Halshaw group means quality Evans Halshaw Honda vehicles are now available to motorists nationwide through the new Move Me Closer service which launched in February.

The scheme enables customers interested in a specific used car to operate the first ‘click and collect’ style service in the motor industry. No matter which of Evans Halshaw’s dealerships a vehicle might be located at across the UK, Evans Halshaw will arrange to move the vehicle from one dealership, to a more convenient site at no additional cost or obligation to purchase.

Stuart Foulds, franchise director for Evans Halshaw, comments:’We are really excited to welcome the Honda brand to the Evans Halshaw Group and we’re expecting big things for the Bedford site.’
