JEEP witnessed a record-setting month in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) last month, marking its best sales month ever.
The brand sold 12,300 units (up 11.5 per cent compared with the same period last year) in June, as well as achieving the 32nd consecutive month of year-on-year sales growth.
Record results were also recorded in Germany (up 25.6 per cent on June 2015) and in France (up 5.9 per cent on June 2015).
At European level, Jeep brand sales were up 16.2 per cent with 9,883 units for its best June sales ever. In the second quarter, the brand sold 28,698 units and grew by 22.7 per cent, in comparison with the same period last year.
Best quarter performance was also recorded in the UK, with 3,854 units (up 46.4 per cent versus the second quarter in 2015), France with 3,212 units (up 13 per cent) and Spain with 2,088 units (up 55.6 per cent).
In the first half of 2016, 55,171 Jeep vehicles were sold in Europe, recording a 22.7 per cent rise, in comparison with the same period in 2015.
At product level, with 7,700 units in June, the Jeep Renegade achieved its best quarter since its launch in the EMEA, further confirming its leading role as top-selling model of the brand and covering 62.4 per cent of Jeep sales in the region.
The compact SUV also registered its best quarter since launch in Europe, the UK, Spain and Austria. During the first six months, 40,571 Renegades were sold in Europe, with a 46.6 per cent increase versus the same period in 2015. Top selling countries for the Renegade in the first semester were Italy (18,756 units), the UK (5,773 units) and France (4,838).
