The trophy cabinet of long-established dealership Kinghams Subaru now features even more silverware, thanks to a trio of wins at this month’s 2011 Croydon Business Awards.

The Croydon-based dealership claimed the 2011 Croydon Business Awards’ highest accolade – ‘Business of the Year’ – and also secured two prestigious category wins, for ‘Best Business for Customer Service’ and ‘Best Business for Training and Development’.

The dealership was also ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Best Business for Sustainability’ category.

The haul of awards follows major national recognition for the business in 2010, when Kinghams was voted ‘Britain’s best local garage’, to claim the Motor Codes ‘Golden Garage’ prize.

‘It’s very rare for a dealership of our size to net so many awards,’ says Kinghams’ dealer principal, Keith Kingham. ‘Our investment in training and development are key factors in our success, enabling us to take on and beat a host of much bigger dealerships across south London.

‘Kinghams is 50 years old this year and we have always believed that our job is to look after our customers – I would like to thank them all for their continued support.’

Marketing director of Subaru UK, Kenyon Neads, added: ‘Kinghams proves that outstanding customer service is essential for business success in the current tough economic climate.  The dealership is a fine example of what makes the Subaru dealer network stand out from the rest, and we know they are well placed to continue their success throughout 2011.’

Subaru MD, Paul Tunnicliffe, presented the award to Keith Kingham, pictured.
