Lloyd Volvo Carlisle to host women’s networking event

Time 11:53 am, February 27, 2018

CARLISLE’S Volvo dealership will be hosting a breakfast networking event to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8.

The event, held at the dealership run by Lloyd Motor Group has been set up to provide a platform for Cumbrian Women to network, discuss women’s rights and equality issues, and listen to keynote speakers.

The event will be an opportunity to discuss the #PressForProgress initiative being pushed as part of the International Women’s Day this year.

Guests at the newly-refurbished showroom will enjoy a luxurious Swedish breakfast, and hear from Mayor of Carlisle Trish Vasey and Lynne Mallinson, managing director of Country Puddings.

In the press release for the event, the Lloyd Motor Group stated: ‘Now, more than ever, there’s a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity. There’s a strong call to #PressForProgress, motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.’

The event will begin at 08:30 next Thursday at the showroom on the Kingstown industrial estate.
