A LONG-standing family-run business in North Yorkshire has expanded to take on the Mitsubishi franchise.
Batchelors of Ripon was founded more than 25 years ago and this new partnership sees it join one of the fastest-growing car brands in the UK.
Managing director Tony Denton said: ‘I’m very excited to be joining Mitsubishi. Adding Mitsubishi will mean more jobs for the local area and it will increase our turnover. It’s great news all round. We pride ourselves on delivering a friendly, honest and straightforward customer experience.’
Batchelors Mitsubishi is based in Camphill Close, Dallamire Lane, and becomes the fourth new Mitsubishi showroom to open in the UK in 2015, with more planned for the coming months. The dealership has taken on Reg Thompson as brand manager and will be looking to fill another three roles, including an apprentice technician.
Reg, who has 40 years’ experience in the motor trade, said: ‘It’s great to be part of this new venture with Tony and I think the Mitsubishi range will prove very popular here. The model line-up complements our existing franchises and fits perfectly with our local customer base.’
Lance Bradley, managing director of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, said: ‘Batchelors have a well-established reputation for excellent service and we are delighted to have them on board.’
