MG Motor UK is expanding its new vehicle operations with BCA to manage a big increase in new vehicles at the docks in Bristol.
The new vehicle operation is managed from BCA’s Portbury centre and includes inspection, handling, storage and technical services.
The MG3, MG ZS compact SUV, and MG GS are processed by BCA and prepared for distribution to the dealer network.
Daniel Gregorious, head of sales and marketing, said: ‘We have ambitious plans for the brand in the UK and BCA brings the scale and flexibility to help us expand rapidly. The breadth of supply chain services BCA offers is unrivalled in the UK and the team shares our commitment to innovation.’
MG Motor UK is the fastest-growing car manufacturer in the UK after achieving its most successful year, securing a total of 9,049 sales and more than doubling its volume versus 2017. It says an attractive and growing model range including a seven-year warranty and competitive finance offers are attracting new customers to the brand.
Paul Bromley, managing director at BCA Vehicle Services, said: ‘MG is a brand that continues to go from strength to strength. As a supply chain partner, BCA brings the scale that MG needs as it continues to grow in the UK, and our integrated approach builds in efficiency and resilience.’
The news follows fresh investment by BCA in its new vehicle operations and logistics fleet, rolling out advanced telematics and creating what it says is one of the newest and greenest fleets in the industry.
