MOTORS.CO.UK enjoyed a record year-on-year performance in July after a surge in lead assists for its customers, along with a rise in online traffic from consumers.
The car search website says it is generating more response for car dealers, with a 26 per cent year-on-year rise last month in lead assists, such as detailed vehicle page views, telephone calls and email inquiries to dealers.
There was also a 20 per cent increase in online sessions and a 21 per cent rise in unique users compared with July 2016.
Motors.co.uk also reported a 9.7 percentage point increase in visitors using a smartphone in the past year, from 45.6 per cent to 55.3 per cent, following the launch of a redesigned and mobile-optimised version in November 2016.
However, visits from desktops and tablets fell by 4.9 percentage points and 4.8 percentage points to 26.8 per cent and 17.9 per cent respectively.
The Motors.co.uk automotive network of partner websites – including Honest John and Parkers.co.uk – also performed strongly, with a nine per cent increase in lead assists year-on-year for July 2017.
