PATRICK Marinoff has been appointed the managing director of Alpine to lead what it calls the ‘next chapter of its rebirth’.

A German native, Marinoff started his career at Daimler in marketing strategy. He was then made executive assistant to the chief executive.

In 2006, he took a leadership role with luxury brand Maybach as global brand manager. Seven years later, he was appointed head of brand appearance for Mercedes-Benz with responsibility for the overall corporate architecture including dealer network, fairs and events.

Marinoff became head of sales for AMG in 2014, when he also joined the executive board of Mercedes-AMG.

François Renard, executive vice-president of global marketing at Alpine’s parent company, Groupe Renault, said: ‘I am very happy to welcome Patrick to the team. He will bring a wealth of experience of the management of iconic brands. His knowledge and passion for sports cars will be a great asset and driving force to grow and develop the Alpine brand and business.’
