renault-clio-green-2-copyRENAULT has released their third quarter results increasing their market share and bettering 2009’s figures.

Renault Group sales internationally rose 5.7 per cent to 591,855 units in the third quarter, compared to a global market increase of 4.6 per cent, while their market share grew in 12 of its 15 markets.

European sales were down, however, by 4 per cent, though Renault says this was due to the market in general falling by 11.5 per cent.

The French brand was also Europe’s second best-selling brand with an 8.5 per cent share of the PC+LCV market.

Outside of Europe, Renault Group’s sales rose by 22.8 per cent which accounted for 42 per cent of the Group’s sales in the third quarter.

The Group expects global market growth of 9 per cent, while 2010’s objective is to ‘generate positive free cash flow’.
