VIC YOUNG has won the Extra Mile Dealership Award at the national Disabled Motoring Awards 2013.

Based in Newcastle Road, South Shields, Vic Young was recognised by the judges for his level of service, and the care and support he provides for his customers with mobility requirements.

He has adapted the access and facilities of his dealership and is also part of the Motability sales training scheme.

Vic Young received his award at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

According to the Shields Gazette, Motability, the leading care scheme for disabled people, has a long association with Vic Young Motability.

This led to the dealership becoming a preferred supplier to develop Motability conversions, as well as carrying out conversions on customers’ own vehicles.

Managing director, Vic Young, said: ‘I feel very honoured to receive this award.

‘It is a fantastic achievement and a testament to our dedicated team, who worked hard to build long-standing relationships with our customers across the North East and the UK.

‘We understand that purchasing a vehicle can be a stressful experience and work meticulously to ensure that the Vic Young process is a positive experience.’

He added: ‘Customer care and service excellence is at the heart of everything we do, and the fact that we are now selling to some third-generation families is a reflection of the experience we deliver to our customers.’
