VT HOLDINGS, a Japan-based company, has bought another car dealership in the UK.
It acquired the CCR Motor Company, the former Mitsubishi Retail Group, in 2012, and today announced it has bought Griffin Mill Garages Ltd.
Griffin Mill represents Fiat, Kia, Nissan and Peugeot as well as authorised repair for Renault across two sites in Pontypridd. The acquisition will take VR Holdings’s combined turnover in the UK to £120m.
Tim Bagnall, the managing director at CCR and Griffin Mill, said: ‘This acquisition is a perfect fit with the current operations in terms of position and complementary franchises.
‘Griffin Mill has a strong local brand identity, a fantastic reputation with their customers and their franchise partners. VT is looking to expand in the UK and this gives us a broader foundation to do that.’
VT Holdings is a listed Japanese motor group and now has 150 outlets, predominantly in Japan, as well as in the UK, South Africa and Australia.
